Can you tell me what this is?
I have a hole on my firewall that has a thin metal cover on it and I'm not sure what it is for.
When I took the truck apart there was nothing in it, just the cover with a hole. This is a 71 (supposed to be) Cheyenne cab. Thanks. Dan

Re: Can you tell me what this is?
I believe that is where the clutch rod would pass through on a standard trans truck. The linkage from the pedal to the Z-bar.

Re: Can you tell me what this is?
Would that have been on any cab or only on manual transmission cabs?

All cabs came with it.The auto trucks had the cover a manual would have a rod thru it and a rubber boot.
