Old Shocks

Replaced my shocks yesterday. These look to be original to the truck, or at least GM type. I have 109,000 miles on this rig. Any comments on these old beauties?

Re: Old Shocks

Comments? How about -- "I think you got your money's worth out of them".

Or maybe "Shoulda been replaced at least two decades ago...."

Seriously, it must drive like a new truck now -- unless the rest of the suspension is in the same condition as those old shocks! What did you replace them with?

Re: Old Shocks

Yea those shocks are way cool. They are the original Delco spiral shocks.
Here's a pic of the ones I run on mine (original paint).

Re: Old Shocks

I have a set of NOS sprial shocks too but not on my truck. They are waiting the day I do a full stock reso on my truck.

You see a lot of NOS 67-72 stock shocks going on ebay but few of them are the original sprial type.
