Do they make noise?
I put in sound deadner and new carpet much less noise. but now I can hear a whiring sound coming from dash tone changes with speed, but does not do it in park when I rev it up. I can barly hear it not very loud.

Re: mech speedo
Probably need to lubricate the speedometer cable, within the housing. If you have seen the needle jump around when it is really cold, you know it's in need of some lube.

Re: mech speedo
autoparts stores carry speedo lube a graphite based lubricant that actually polishes the inside of the cable housing for a quiet smooth operation of your speedo
