Picture needed - tailgate bumper
Anybody have a somewhat close up picture of a mounted tailgate bumper on a fleetside, the square rubber one that goes behind the hinge? I need to see what the screws look like because I have mis-placed them and don't remember what they look like.
Thanks here's a pic of the bumper;

Re: Picture needed - tailgate bumper
nevermind... I was thinking they mounted differently than they do so I thought it was a special type screw.

Re: Picture needed - tailgate bumper
Here's the only pic I have of that area. The screws look like wood screws with a small washer on them. Hope this helps?

Re: Picture needed - tailgate bumper
Thanks OhioDan,
I found the originals but instead went with a stainless version (in the pic). Is yours mounted vertically and just twisted a bit? Mine were mounted like I have them now in the bottom picture. I set one up like yours but after measuring and looking at it close, the rubber is wider on one side of the hole, about 7/16 compared to 5/16. So that, added with the wear marks from the hinges and a crappy illustration in the manual, makes me think it should be mounted horizontally. Just a little info. diggin' the avatar btw... well done.

Re: Picture needed - tailgate bumper
I think I mounted mine as you did. That was just a reference pic someone sent to me to locate where to place the bumpers.
