1964 frame

Hello everyone.I know this questions been beat to death but i still cant find what i need.I want to turn my 1964 into a short bed can i do it the same way as a 1967-1972 cutting under the cab or do i have to cut behind the crossmember then relocate the crossmember under the cab.Thank you everyone this site is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would do it the same way you'd do a 67-72. The frames are very similar.
