shift lever question
hi all, say, my 1970 gmc shift lever (automatic) seems real sloppy. how can this be tightened? i have a 454 transplant that is now being rebuilt, so perhaps with motor out, this may be a benifit(?)

Re: shift lever question
I have the same problem, I have searched a little on this subject and what I have found was that most said the the shift linkage had to be changed. I am not sure if there are some bushings on it that could just be replaced, but If you find out, let me know.
