Final engine assembly adhesive

Putting together my crate motor - it came with a tube of GM Assembly Adhesive which I assume should be used to seal the intake manifold. It says on the back it's used for sealing engine oil joints only. Is this correct? I've read here before that orange adhesive should be used but can I use this included adhesive?

Here's a pic:

I would say judging from the size of tube & description it is meant to be used for the end rails of intake to block area. (silicone)
