Parting/Project 74 and 76 SWB fleet trucks*
I should have done this much earlier, but I hated not to give some of you guys a shot at these. Both of these are headed to the crusher (SOON!) unless somebody wants them.
The first is a '76 Cheyenne. It was a 350/Th350 truck, but the engine and trany are gone. The body is pretty beat on it, but the cab is very solid for these trucks. It has some rust in the RH cab corner, but both rockers are rock solid as is the floor. The truck still has A/C, power steering and power brakes intact, and the brakes are still function. Its only been sitting about a year and a 1/2. All of the A/C parts are still intact except the compressor and lines, but I do have those if you need them. The seat has one small tear but the foam is in great shape. It has very nice red visors and good headliner trim. The dash is cracked and the door panels are kinda chalky. The tailgate is beat up along the top but is sold and the tailgate band is nice. The bed floor is solid. The grill is also nice. If it doesn't sell, I'm going to snatch off some parts to the crusher she goes. I'd take $400 for it complete. If you need parts let me know what you want and I'll price them. I can't promise I will have time to take everything off, but I'll do what I can.

Re: Parting/Project 74 and 76 SWB fleet trucks
The second truck is a '74 Chevy. It was project/hot rod but the PO ended up putting the engine in a Chevelle. The hood is nice and the windshield has NO CRACKS which is rare, at least in my yard!. The fenders are doors are fair. The cab has a little more rust in the rockers than the other truck, but the floors are very solid. The bedsides are fairly decent, but does have some repaired spots rust on the RH rear. The bed floor is rusted pretty bad on the rear. The stake pockets were filled some of the filler is cracking. It has PS but no power brakes and no A/C. The brakes are still functional on this truck also. It has dual exhaust set up for headers. I have a nice '73 - '74 grill that I will let go if the truck is bought whole. Same thing as the other truck, if it doesn't sell, I will sell parts. I'll take $400 for it with the hood $300 W/O. The 8" Rally wheels ARE NOT INCLUDED, but I will put rollers on it.

Re: Parting/Project 74 and 76 SWB fleet trucks
The bottom line is that scrap just went up to $10/100# here making these trucks worth about $300 each. I need some funds for my projects and that's a guaranteed $600 plus whatever parts I take off. If anyone is serious about either truck post here in the thread. If you decide you want one of both, I will require a deposit to hold them. I don't even have a problem storing them for a while if they are paid for. Neither truck has a title, but I will give a bill of sale. Thanks

Re: Parting/Project 74 and 76 SWB fleet trucks
I need the associated brackets and clips from the door shell where the pull strap attaches, if the second truck has em. First truck didn't have straps and I couldn't tell on the second. I'm converting my no-strap-havin 87 to door panels with straps. Thanks! BTW my zip is 47342

Re: Parting/Project 74 and 76 SWB fleet trucks#
Ok, both trucks are sold but these are the items I got off before they did.
Tailgate band is nice, no dents $30 + shipping. Lester622 is first in line. Dash trim with A/C vents - great shape - $25 + shipping. chromyelo1 is 1st in line Silverado dash emblem - paint wirn but not broken - $10 shipped Parking lights - good shape - $15 shipped Red sunvisors - very good shape, stitching excellent. $25 shipped Arm rest - driver quality, could use glueing back on bottom, has a small cigarette burn - $10 shipped Hood - straight, not bowed in the center, no rust - $100 pick up only Headliner trim - good shape could use painted on the metal parts - $25 + shipping I will post pics of the grills this evening. The dash pads, door panels, door parts, etc that some of you asked about were pretty much shot. Sorry I did not get a chance to pull the engine stands and the cab molding went with the truck before I saw your post.
