Black Rims

I was wanting to get some opinion on what you guys think are the best looking black or gunmetal gray rims. I'm not too into the chrome or stainless look.

Re: Black Rims

If I had to pick, a classic 5 spoke like torque thrusts or cragars or something but honest I aint into any color, or any painted wheel.

To me it really depends on the paint job.

I'm a particular fan of plain black wagon wheels.

Re: Black Rims

As mentioned, it depends on the color of the truck as to what will look best. I suggest you get a nice clean side view pic of your truck and have it photoshopped. If you get your truck pic and the wheels you are considering, the PC guys can do the rest.

Re: Black Rims

I like black wheel myself. Less flash. I dont care for coys or torque thrust. Only because it seems that every other truck has them.

I know everyone says that coys are played out but I had never seen or heard of them in my life until I joined this site. I guess it just depends on where you live.

Re: Black Rims

I have black PC'd 88+ Rallys on my 77...no bolt centercaps too LoL

I am actually not a black rim person, but wanted to try it on my 77 to see if I'd like it. It looks decent, but I doubt I would do it again.

Re: Black Rims

If the truck was set up like race truck (see Jeff's avatar) then the black rims would look good.

I also agree that it depends on the color of the vehicle, how it is set up, and what kind of wheels.

Re: Black Rims

Will the center caps for our trucks fit the truck steel rims from the 89 and up body style??
