Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Order 1: Sold me something they didn't ship for 2 months. Heard they had a fire, so that's okay.
Order 3: When I clicked on an image after search for a 1.4 mm tip, and then click order now, I don't expect the 1.2 mm to have been selected by default. Granted my eyes are poor, but I also build systems. There's no reason in the world to have the wrong item selected by default, and if that doesn't conform to their layout, then none should be checked by default. They charged me to ship it back. Order 4: They charged my CC without providing the $25 discount. A discount, that was even reflected by the order total at check out. I had to ask for it, then they gave it to me.

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Never ordered anything from them , every time I have gone to there website there prices always seem a bit to high on the supplies I am looking to purchase , Sorry to hear that ,I order everything for my build and hate when my packages do not arrive on time or get the wrong order, it screws up my progress on my build.
I just ordered a packing nut kit and fluid tip seals for my primer gun from the manufacture got them in 3 days. |

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Lucky I'm just in prep phase. I checked pricing Vs Amazon/Ebay for what I've ordered, and it pencils out. That said, I bought their blackening spray kit for $50. I think it's a fairly new product. Probably too much, we'll see. Just using it on small stuff, clips and such. Apparently stands up to fluids.

The Eastwood stuff I got is really just paint. Just appears as black oxide. Supposed to be quite durable. Going to use it on things like wire harness, brake clips, small brackets - under carriage. Maybe on some bolt harware.

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Agreed. That spray "black oxide" was cheapest at Eastwood. Keep in mind, Eastwood provides free shipping. You just have to locate the code. Like I said, I compared their prices with Amazon/Ebay. The total was actually cheapest at Eastwood, after I requested they honor their coupon.

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Haven't used them in decades. They helped get me into restoration supplies, but that led me to finding the good stuff elsewhere or the same stuff cheaper. That's what they are good for. They broadcast to the general market to introduce the novice to restoration. Just like LMC introduces parts availablility

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
As stated above Eastwood is way overpriced and similiar products of all types can be bought cheaper elsewhere.

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
Your local body shop supply house will have it all or can order it.

Re: Eastwood rattles my nerves a bit
I agree you can find a lot of things elsewhere but you also pay for convienience which is a service. I've used Eastwood a lot but if you have time to search, yep, a lot of the stuff is available elsewhere..
