Glovebox Doors

I have way too many glovebox doors. I've had ideas for doing artwork on them or making something out of them, but I've decided to let at least some go here for wall hangers or whatever. Some are nicer than others, all original paint. I'll post others later if there's much interest. I have a medium green, dark green, dark olive, and white one that are more scratched and a couple painted ones. I also have an assortment of ash trays I'd be willing to let go of. I'm considering moving the building this stuff is in,so...

.....................These I'd like $38 shipped/postal money order...large flat rate box is $17.45.....................

...........If buying for wall hangers,2 will fit in 1 box...........I would round down to $58 shipped for 2...........

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>>>#1 med. green & #5 med. olive (door is dark olive/GMC) sold to 71sierragrande <<<

>>>#2 dark blue sold to BKSS67 <<<

......................................................#3,4,& 6 are available.........................................................

Re: Glovebox Doors

If someone wants,I have a good friend who is a sign painter. I could arrange about anything you could imagine, from wood graining,to pinstripe,to lettering,to a mural, to crazy custom graphics,to...you tell me. He's been in business for lose to 40 years. door could be painted your color first,then...
His cost would be the only thing added. I just thought I'd offer. I did my own quick & cheezy logo using masking tape and spray bomb I had handy to make a couple signs to put out front when I had a board get together back in '07. Just a poor example to see...heh heh

Re: Glovebox Doors

Do you have just the arm for the glove box I could get off you? And do you have any chrome ash trays in decent shape?

Re: Glovebox Doors

I do have an arm. I'll get one in my hands and get back on that. You need an ash tray for a '72? Not sure I have that type. I'll check on that, too

I didn't think to ask,any particular color you'd like? They're all in one box,so I'll bring that in.

Re: Glovebox Doors

Color for the arm? No, not particularly, just whatever is in the best shape. Black if you have it, but color is no biggie.

I have arms. A really nice black one would be $18 shipped. I have one that is very clean but been through a repaint or two I'd sell for $10 shipped. It just needs scuffed and sprayed low gloss black. That's what I'd want for others with light rust.

Re: Glovebox Doors

#1,2,& 5 are sold. #3,4,and 6 are available. The emblem on #6 is screwed on,but with a new emblem this would be a prime door in a truck this color. For a wall hanger, does it really matter?

Re: Glovebox Doors

Hey Tim, sorry things got busy around here but I just got the MO for you and it will go out in the morning.
Per your question: I am going to use some of these for custom gauge bezels, and some will be used as drawer faces for a large tool chest.

Some people use them to make a gauge bezel out of them for custom gauges...matching the other side of the truck...

Re: Glovebox Doors

I like that idea and have done it. I have a few designs I'm considering trying on my '67. But,I'm thinking art...something unusual using many. My camera is in my truck with a picture I took of gb door arms I'll get on the computer and show. Maybe create something using various parts

Re: Glovebox Doors

I've wanted to chrome one then scuff the center and texture it to match the gauge bezel. I've seen it done and like the way it looks (like how the 67 matches the gauges with the silver outer and textured inner)
