2002 L59 Flex Fuel OK for swap?
I have done quite a few swaps but none with L59 flex fuel option. The engine I am considering is a 2002 L59 with low miles
Is there any special consideration for the flex fuel option as it relates to an engine swap? I read that there is a sensor that measures the amount of ethanol in the fuel and adjusts accordingly- and that the PCM defaults to a standard setting if the computer does not get a reading from the sensor. Is this something that is addressed in the PCM tuning? I will just use regular pump gas as always and do not need the flex fuel capability but do not want to throw a code that puts on the check engine light Thanks for suggestions

Honestly it seems worth it to just get the sensor from a donor and hook it up. Its not an immensely complicated piece, and allows you to run 87-93 straight, low-E blended (common) gas, and E75,85,90.
