What would you do?
Here's my dilemma. I have the 68 stepside in my avatar and I recently purchased a two wheel drive Blazer. With the exception of the paint, wheels and interior panels, it is pretty original. The 68 is very customized and currently has an LS1/4l60E combo in it. As the Blazer is my daily driver, I am considering swapping the original 350 to the 68 and the LS1 to the Blazer for fun factor and mileage. I should be able to pull everything I need off each one and parts cost would be minimal. If you were in the same situation, what would you do? Thanks.

Re: What would you do?
i say keep the ls1 in the truck. its a custom truck and having an ls1 under the hood sets it apart from most.

Re: What would you do?
if you like the ls1 4l60 combo take your time and find another lowmilage package for the blazer // makes no sence to my to switch drivetrains

Re: What would you do?
I would decide which of the trucks would be my "keeper" and then make sure the LS1 was in that one.

Re: What would you do?
It's a 72 Blazer. Thanks for the replies so far. I guess one of my thoughts was that I would want to keep the original Blazer drive train in the event I sold it, etc. and putting it into the 68 would allow me to still drive both and keep the costs down. Can't really afford to buy the whole new ls1 setup right now.

Re: What would you do?
if you have the time and don't mine the effort, I would go for the later model drivetrain in my daily driver
