'70 C10 no shoulder belt mounts?

Hi all,

I am the new owner of a '70 C10 project. It's a short fleetside w/ 396 BBC. It took two weeks to get it running; I imagine a build thread is in order.

At present there are no seat belts whatsoever, so it's time to put in a retractable 3pt. Unfortunately, I cannot locate the shoulder trap mount I expected to be there. I am not aware of any runs GM made without at least the hole punched in, so perhaps a PO somewhere along the line filled this in? I can't see anyone wanting to do that; moreover everything appears to be all metal.

Does anyone have measurements to locate where this hole should be? Maybe I can get lucky and be able to uncover the hole can clean up the threads?

Thanks,
Lance

There should be a hole with a plastic plug in it , but it is possible someone filled it in i have filled in a lot with gun rack holes but always left the seat belt holes alone.

Thanks for your responses. The plastic plug is definitely not there. Either the hole never existed, or it has been patched. I'm hoping there is just some body filler covering the hole, but there is no way I can get my arm that far up inside the cab wall to feel for the nut. Would you be able to measure the x and y offsets from a known point (see attached image)?

Actually, with a small mirror and a small flashlight you can make out that there's something up there...if there is something like a welded nut up there.

Go to sealtbeltsplus.com or seatbeltsolutions.com they sell a 3 point kit for both the cabs with and without the B piller plug, I have three sets and they are the best I have found. Cost is $279.00 for a set without the GM logo or $299 with then a bit more for the hardwear kit for the B piller like 20 bucks.
