8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

I am going use my 15x8 rallies all away around on my 69 .I want the raised white letter look . I have looked at older posts and still am not confident im going to choose the right size and end up being stuck with tires that rub I have a shortwide or fleet side bed 4-6 drop with a 68 rear which is slightly narrower than the 69-72 . I want to be as tall and wide as possible without the rub
thanks for helping
Jess

Re: 8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

I would do a 255 60 15 in front and a 275 60 15 rear.

Because, Uh, my name is Dave, and uh... I like to party.

Re: 8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

Posted a picture of my truck on the before and after post on 3/11. I’me running 8” wheels. 2/4 drop. 255/60/60 front and 275/60/15 rears. My 2 cents.

Re: 8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

I had 15x8 with 275/60’s front and rear on my previous 68. It was lowered about 2/4ish.
Worked well and I was able to rotate tires as needed. I will definitely run this setup again.
Pics are in my profile.

Jess, those wheels look great, with the beauty rings. Did you polish them?

Re: 8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

I am running 255-70 rear, they are taller than 275-60 and only 1/2" narrower. I am blackwall out cause they didn't have 245-60 for the front in the brand I have on the rear anymore . I did not want two different brands showing.

Re: 8X15 RALLIES ALL AROUND tire size

I still have a set of 15x8 wheel vintique stock style non rally wheels that I had on the same truck. 275 60r15 as well. I was running 67 chevelle "Poverty" caps with stainless trim rings. Same backspace as rallys. No rub anywhere even with 2"/4" static drop
