Help me id these parts
This is my 1st 4x4 and I can"t seem to find info on these peices anywhere. The silver lever is on the tranny hump and the other part is on the wheelwell in the engine bay.
Any info would be appreicated |

1 vent window handle but on tranny hump ?

The first one looks like a lever for a fuel tank selector from a 67-72 pickup. Those are usually mounted on the floor near the drivers seat. Maybe the PO went to a manual valve for the duel tanks rather than the servo operated one.
The second photo - I have no idea, cruise control maybe. What year of truck? Gas or diesel, propane or natural gas fueled? |

I agree with fuel switch
second is a cruise control module - had one just like it on my 79 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) Speedo to module, module to tranny or transfercase on 4wd. |

Ah ok. The 2nd part does in fact lead down to the tranny. So a cruise control makes sense.
As for the 1st part, I'm glad i'm not the only confused one. It's on a 1980 GMC stepside. Gas powered. i do have dual tanks, but have the dash mounted switch for the tank selection. The 1st piece is mounted on the tranny hump on the drivers side. I thought maybe it was for opening a vent on the tranny as it will spin all the way down and up(it doenst just move 45 or 90 degress and hit a stop) |

Well, these 4x4's have got some weird looking stuff huh? I really had no idea. I guess I'll stick to my 2-wheel drive stuff LOL.

As far as the switch crawl under it and see what is connected to. Maybe at onetime it was equipped with propane and that switch would allow it to be switched between the two... who knows.

looks like the lever switch switch for the rear flip seats in a burb
whats it doin there?Ejection seat release?
