Hey guys, I finished my engine, and have the promised pics (no burnout pics though, sorry). Broke in the cam this morning about 8:30 (neighbors already hated me anyway) but then I had to go to work, and it was raining cats and dogs when I came home so I haven't been able to drive it. It does look pretty though.

My dog approves of it too, she loves my truck.
I'll get some more pics of it with the plug wires routed, it's dirty right now from me messing with it and getting greasy fingerprints everywhere.

Looks great!!! I just broke mine in last week, it is a great feeling.
I say what kind of neighbors are they if they don't appreciate the sound of a new motor being broke in. Mine all look at me and wonder why that old guy just won’t grow up. I look at them and wonder why they want to

around here in canada the ac delco filters are white with i think red and blue ac delco lettering on them.

The heads are Dart Iron Eagles, 180cc runners/64cc combustion chambers. Cam is a Comp XE268, and intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM airgap. The filter is an ACDelco 1218.
The timing is off a bit, and I need to adjust the carb and valves, but the test run was very satisfying. Once I get it tuned properly, it should run really well on the street.

Well I have a question for you. I am taking a engine repair class and I have to do a ten minute oral report on the engine. What would be a good topic that I could talk that long about? Do you know of any good web

sights that I could get info from?

I think camshafts would make a great topic. There is a ton of information on them and describing how they work and the effects on the engines performance would take a lot more than ten minutes but you could cover the main points in that time. Not very many people really understand them.
Comp cams or any other manufacturers web site should have a lot of info.

Ditto. Do some research online and in any hotrod/engine building books you have, and you can have a well-rounded report. I've learned a ton by reading, and am still learning thanks to websites like this one.
