The original 69-72 caps were steel chromed (73-75 were stainless mat finish). The 73-75 stainless can be prepped & polished to look like chrome, and they don't rust or peal!

Here are some examples of the ones I prepare...

Your work looks great! Will you pm me a quote for full set of polished 4wd caps for a 72' with the convex center? Do you paint them as well with the flat black and blue bow tie? These will fit factory steel wheels and hubs correct?

69-72=convex/chromed steel
73-75=concave/stainless

Yes,all 3/4t hubcaps mount on 8-lug wheels. '69-up had outer nubs

You see in the pics that I shape the centers out, like 69-72. I don't do the paint. It is very simple, but time consuming. You save considerable $$$ by painting yourself. The biggist trick to painting these, is the smallest tape you can get. Check out this thread for example:

Re: WTB 71-72 3/4 4wd Hubcaps

I now have a VERY nice set of original 1972 3/4 "chrome" rear hubcaps thanks to the forum.

Can anyone help me with a set of front "chrome" 72 3/4 4x4 hubcaps? I am looking for an excellent, NOS, or near-perfect pair.

Thanks!

Re: WTB 71-72 3/4 4wd Hubcaps

Good luck with your search, i have only seen a couple of actual chrome 4x4 3/4 ton front caps in my days. I may have a pair of stainless ones to part with.
