I saw the real thing at the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green and it got me fired up to find a "Slant Nose". Mine's not nearly as nice though.

If my memory serves me correctly, Jay Leno did a program on this truck in "Jay Leno's Garage". Enjoyable. It's in YouTube.

Not a fan of the front end on that model. Something just isn't proportioned quite right...Nice looking truck otherwise.

The angle of the edge of the hood is wrong. It looks like a 67 or 68 with a 69-72 hood.

Re: If you have $90 burning a hole in your pocket

The nose was butchered. It looks like a 69-72 die cast they tried to make look like a 67 with a plastic nose piece added on.

I wish they had that paint scheme on one of the better quality 67 die casts out there.

This one is much more correct:

Re: If you have $90 burning a hole in your pocket

My guess is that the Holley model is a Highway 61 version. Their 67-68 1/18th scale models suck in comparison to the 69-72 versions.

Re: If you have $90 burning a hole in your pocket

That would be a cool die-cast to collect if it wasn't a 69-72 casting halfass adapted into something sort of like a '68 for $90. It's a strike out for me.
