one last (fingers crossed) ps ? re: belt

My ps setup is now installed! Ye ha! In the pic of the vehicle it came off of (70 4x4 blazer, I250), there is ONE belt that encompasses the crank, fan, alternator and ps. I THINK I've got the part number (advance auto's) - it's 15400.

Can anyone verify that or have another part number or length? If all goes well, I should be able to do the belt in the a.m. and then take her for a spin...

Can you get your hands on a seamstress tape measure , the cloth type? The measurement you want is the outside around the pulley's not inside the groove.
The 15400 means it is a 1/2" belt 40 inches long I believe.

Re: one last (fingers crossed) ps ? re: belt

You are right on the belt. I stopped at advance, I knew approximately the size (good eye for that sort of thing) - first one they pulled 15400 wasn't even close so I looked at their computer and saw one listed as outter lug, 50".... I said, that's it. I got it on tonight - fit perfectly! I had filled the pump last night and let it set all day. When I got home tonight, it had drained down into the gear box. I filled the pump again and after about 5 lock to lock turns, no more air - works too danged cool. Finished at 10 tonight - first thing in the am, it's out for a test drive!!!!
