Re: Fleetside Chrome

I'm not sure but it looks like it's local pick up only, no shipping
You're a long way from Canada.

It says local pickup offered, so I think it means that you can pick it up or they will ship.

Wow, thats a screaming deal! Even if you had to pay that price again for shipping would be worth it.

Re: Fleetside Chrome

I think it is 295 x 4 since they are sold by the each. I wish they were more clear in the way they described it.

Thats the way I read it. Very pricey at 1200 for the strips. If its 295 as pictured its a deal

Re: Fleetside Chrome

It's listed as $295 each including hardware so for $600 for both sides, that's one hell of a good deal

- 4dr53
I still do not understand what it is that they are selling and I called Jim carter to and they guy didnt understand what I was talking about and give me sum part numbers to look at, so I looked them up and it was the fleetside chrome for the 60-66 trucks. the guy did say that they sell individual pieces of the chrome if anyone needs just pieces. Hope someone else can help with this mystery. I really want to buy the chrome if it is the whole set.

Re: Fleetside Chrome

I just sent them an email asking this,

" Is the $295 for the complete set as pictured on the board or per individual trim piece 2 ends and 2 long trims x $295 = $1180"

I'll post what ever they say. I don't think they realize how vague their AD is.
I suspect that its just the long upper and lower trim with no ends and its $295 per upper and $295 per lower

I think Carter or one of those guys had a small quantity made of ends some years back but hasn't recently.

Re: Fleetside Chrome

Yesterday I ordered the 4 strips which "qualifies" for the 10% discount from Bills truck shop they are "$295 a piece" regualr price + $40 shipping, also called Jim Carters and ordered the 4 end pieces $285 no tax + $10 shipping, so when its all said and done its a little over $1300 for a "complete set" they should come in next week.

Re: Fleetside Chrome

i got a reply from the guy on ebay and here is his message:

Jim Carters truck parts makes the end pcs and we made the stainless mld
$1271.40 w/ 20 clips 4 mlds and 50.00 shipping

- 4dr53
this is message makes a lot more sense then any of the other ones. still not a bad price for something that is hard to find

Re: Fleetside Chrome

I have to say I've had root canals go easier than finding the right price on this trim. But still its comparable to original if you can find it. I'd like to hear about the finished product when you get it all

Re: Fleetside Chrome

Received my complete order yesterday both were packaged "very well" against damage from both stores, the mouldings are polished to a chrome finish and the end pieces have a nice chrome finish, I am VERY PLEASED ! with this order so here's the total with shipping:

BILL'S truck shop $1,102 and JIM CARTERS $295.65 total = $1397.65 for me personally worth every penny.

Also last week Bill said to spread the word he has the strips in stock.

Are they polished stainless or chromed steel?

They are Stainless Steel nicely polished to a chrome look, and Bill puts a plastic protective coat over them so they dont get scratched and you just peel it off when ready to use, I am Very pleased and You will be too.
