Exterior Door Handle Question
Both of my door handles are pretty loose. I tried to tighten them and it is no they are as tight as they will go. The rubber behind them has seen better days.
Is this rubber the issue? If I replace it will they be tight again? Last edited by drewbert41; 08-31-2015 at 11:45 PM. |

Re: Exterior Door Handle Question
They should tighten regardless of the rubber...Might try a flat & lock washer on the bolts. Check for corrosion in the bolt holes and maybe the bolts were replaced at one time with slightly longer bolts...?

Re: Exterior Door Handle Question
I was wondering about the longer bolts. Not sure why they would have done that, but I will look into it. I am glad that I didn't order that rubber piece already.

Does anyone know exactly what size bolt I need?
