finally got all the bugs worked out of my TBI set up and now I am much happier. My PROM was programed too lean so I had it worked over and now it runs real good. My engine is a 350 .040 over with L-98 iron heads a mild CPU friendly CompCam headers otherwise factory GM TBI components. At first I was real disapointed with my power output and thought I would have been better off with a carb set up but now I am very glad that I didn't. It has real good low end great throttle response and it moves the old K5 better than the brakes are good for. Anyone planning on doing this swap its real easy and straight forward. Hit me up if you need some pointers

Yeah once tunned then you can just do the preventative maintenance and never bother with it. I really like the fact that it don't flood over on the steeps. My goal was to make it turn key have decent power and better MPG and driveability than a Carb set up. The MPG is not as good as I would have expected but that has alot to do with driving habbits.

Fuel injection is the only way to go. Once you've had it, you'll never go back to a carb.

What are the numbers on the cam? I am looking doing something similar with a .030 over 350 that has an Edelbrock performer cam and L-98 heads. I forget the exact numbers but I think it has around .442 lift and something around 214 duration.

i got an 87 silverado w/ 5.7 tbi that i want to put into my 70, any and ALL help on the transplant would be GREATLY appreciated. i'm looking for better mileage and performance. i'll be using the 700r4 tranny also plus any other comforts i can get. thanks, any pics?

Be sure to read this post in the FAQ.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ght=Conversion You have the right idea to have a complete donor truck will make your swap go much eaiser than trying to peice together a set up. I would suggest a wiring harness investment it's $300 but it's well worth it I bought mine from painless. I also bought a TBI fuel pump it's a walbro inline FP that holley sells with their TBI Proinjection kit. I am very happy with mine, please feel free to ask any questions, good luck
