yes it will fit...to make it work is going to depend on what route you go with the build...

I just put a 94 ' tbi350/4l80E into my Burb.I had to use 73-8? motor mounts and perches since I kept the stock exhaust manifolds on the motor.Check out my Burb thread for pics to see what I mean.It fits very well imo.Hope this helps,be good

I have a 72 GMC and the P.O. put a 1994 GMC 350 in it,
backed by a Turbo 350 Tranny.
Now granted, I didn't put it in, but it all seems to work,
even the 94 A/C and Compressor works!

Hey wwotr this motor has the serp belt system off a newer truck on it but the motor is definitely pre 88 or atleast he heads r. 87 and up small blocks have center bolt valve covers , and the blocks r not machined to accept manual fuel pumps. Just a little heads up. Not bashing or anything

Re: Help putting 94 350 I'm my 68 will it fit and the tranmison fit

I gathered he wants to put the 94 engine in his 68 with the 350 TH. I believe the only major problem will be a special intake manifold to use a carb.

questions we need answered....
Whats in your truck now engine and tranny
what tranny are you plannong on running?
Do you want fuel injection, or are you happy with a carb?
You looking for a lot of power, something peppy, or regular strength

Re: Help putting 94 350 I'm my 68 will it fit and the tranmison fit

You'll need a somewhat special intake. If memory serves, a 94 would still have the bolts on the center runners, but at a different angle. Look for an intake made for vortech heads. Costs a little more than an old school intake.
You'll need an electric fuel pump. Don't get a cheap one, cheap ones are generally crap. Look into the details, you'll probably need a regulater and have the pressure pretty low. A return line may be needed may not... again, plan out the system and look at the details.
The engien will bold in like any other small block. If you use factory mounts and put them in the factory small block location, then other parts will fit better... headers for a 67 - 72 will drop in no problem, a short shaft TH350 and crossmember, it'll all fall into factory holes... even a stock 2 piece driveshaft.

Is the intake designed for tbi heads. A normal intake will work but you must machine the 4 center holes on a different angle. Pics r worth a thousand words

Re: Help putting 94 350 I'm my 68 will it fit and the tranmison fit

There are factory Q-jet intakes for both old and new centerbolts.

No way I would un-fuel inject it though. If you must use the TH350, just get a manual transmission PROM for the TBI. If you have a complete engine and trans from the 94 you will probably spend more to carb it and use the TH350 that to keep both electronic.
