Trading up to get what I really wanted
Hello all, thought I would share my new truck with ya.
I started out and aquired this Red 92 Saturn SC1 for free. Traded it to a lady to care take an elderly lady to and from the doctor through the desert towns here. I inturn got this 73 Camper over from her, minus the camper. Came with a really nice well kept running 454 motor and sweet interier, bucket seats and tilt and disc brakes. From there my Buddy Stew had this little 75 4X4 he built from the ashes and was moving on with it, using it to build another truck and what he really wanted was my 73. We got together and traded and now I am rebuilding it with him and soon I will have the SWB Chevy I have always wanted. The 75 has been totally gone through with a strong motor, new tranny, rebuilt under carrage/front end. All he took back off of it was the cab, so him and I just put this new cab on it. Anyway, enjoy.

Re: Trading up to get what I really wanted
I did the same thing, only I had a little more luck involved.
It started with a Ford Tempo that blew a hose, but the owner didn't know how to fix it (and was too lazy to learn). A six-pack and a day later, I was the proud owner of a running Ford Tempo. I spent a couple hundred at the junkyard fixing her up real nice, planning to sell it. Saw an ad on Craigslist for a squarebody and arranged a meeting. He had just bought this truck a week before, but his landlord had some financial trouble and the house he was renting forclosed, forcing a move. The guy said he needed to sell the squarebody and buy a small car good on gas milage, as he was forced to move to San Francisco. Sell the truck and buy a small car? Let's cut out the middle man and trade straight across. A handshake and a few hours later, I had the lifted truck that I've dreamed of owning since I knew what lifted trucks were!
