Re: Went to see this 50th today

It is very solid, no signs of cancer rust anywhere. My offer was declined but I was kind of expecting that...it is tough out there so I'm hoping that he would change his mind, we'll see...

Re: Went to see this 50th today

Nice find even for $3000.00.

What trim level was it? CST or Custom? It looks like the trim around the windshield is perhaps missing.

Is it a Auto or manual transmission? With the smog pump I'd expect it to be a manual transmission unless it was a California truck.

That's a really nice 50th survivor.

Re: Went to see this 50th today

If you really want it, you probably need to raise your offer, or somebody else WILL buy it out from under you. This is assuming it runs and drives of course.

Re: Went to see this 50th today

If you can get it for under $2000 you got a good deal... it looks like a good deal...the only thing that I would want to see before I buy it-- is how much rust is under that camper shell. Nice find!!

Aside from some paint fade, it looks like a really nice truck. Good luck with the purchase.

Re: Went to see this 50th today

If he isn't too mad at you for the low offer and if you have the cash offer him $2,700. I notice it has an optima battery, not a real big selling point but if he put that battery into that truck it means he took real good care of it, who knows how well it's been maintained but it looks to be very well maintained. Just my two cents.

The squares on the bed are fuel filler doors for aux tanks.
Chevy started building trucks in 1918 so for the 50th Anniversary in 1968 they built some special Gold & White trucks
All are in the 1968 Light Duty Truck Line C/10, C/20, C/30.
