how to remove the top inner bolts for the front bumper?
the PO had placed some logs under the front bumper instead of using jack stands and messed the bumper up, and i would like to try to get the dents out, or just get a new one.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=215936

Is Certifit like an auto parts retail store?

Re: how to remove the top inner bolts for the front bumper?
certifit is a discount auto body parts house. basicly they cater to the collision repair industry with cheap body parts along with bumpers, head and tail lights, and mirrors. they do carry some other odds and ends but there quality is all over the place. you really have to inspect everything you purchase from them and if you have to replace a mirror or light assembly plann on buying both as the new ones usualy don't match the old.
don't get me wrong the company is sucessfull for a reason but don't think it's because of quality parts. ondrew |

Yes you should inspect the part before you leave the building with it (they will not take your money until you are satisfied with the part), because just like any other distributor/supplier of sheetmetal parts, damage can and often does occur during shipment and storage. the only downside is that if they don't have something, they have no way of knowing if they will ever get it. luckily for you, there are multiple locations in CA, you can just call them and ask if they have something in stock, and if not, check the next place

Re: how to remove the top inner bolts for the front bumper?
I shot the nuts with some good penetrating oil then used an impact gun with a wobble extension and short socket. Just keep some pressure on the head of the bolt so it won't turn in the bumper.
