to all brake guru's

one of the guys here is needing to replace his brake booster and the parts guy didn't know which one he needed (go figure).

he has a 71 short bed 350/350 disc's up front.

He was told he needed either a Delco or Bendex (sp). which one will he need and what is the difference.

TIA

Totally wrong....

Do a search, the boosters are different. GM used two different suppliers of the original part and they are not interchangable.

Again, do a search, plenty to read on this subject.

There is a difference the master cylinders are different too they even look different. The parts house had both in stock so I could match it. Try to see which master cylinder he has then I am pretty sure he will have the same company booster.

thanks TX,
I did search brake booster but no real info on the two came up and didn't even think about searching "delco and bendix " (which would have made more sense in the begining)
