engine swap transmission question
61 with inline 6 and 3 speed swapping to 350 and wanting auto transmission. What works best and will the drive shaft have to be altered. Thanks for the help

Not sure what you have in there now, but My brother and I swapped a th400 behind the 283 in my truck, and I don't remember modifying driveshaft.

It's a inline 6 and 3 speed now. So going 350 th350 or 700r4 maybe just not sure what's best.

700r4 will give you overdrive, but will require a driveshaft mod.
I think the TH350 will go in without issues, but you get no overdrive, and third ratio is still 1/1, so no real improvement there beyond not having to shift the transmission
