71 original radio template
Looking for information on the original radio cutouts. My current 71 C/20 had the radio replaced with an utter hack job and looking to get it back to something close to a stock look with one of the USA radios. Looking for a template to fabricate a patch. Striking out with junkyard donors. Any suggestions?
Thanks- |

Re: 71 original radio template
mine has the radio delete plate, so should be uncut under there. it's a 67, but pretty sure the hole was the same. I could put a piece of paper over the area and rub it with a crayon (3 kids around here, plenty of crayons), then mail it to you. or maybe some one close to you will let you do that.
Let me know, don't mind a bit. |

Re: 71 original radio template
People often offer up a patches using original chunks of dash in the for sale area. Go there and do a search. I bet you find something ... good luck.

Re: 71 original radio template
Gents-
Thanks for the quick replies- I've seen the radio delete plates for sale but didn't realize they have the reverse of the pattern I'm looking for. I'll take spin around the sale section for the dash chunk as well. For the modest sum of the delete plate, seems like a great option if I can't get a dash section. I'm good to go! Thanks again for the responses- nicely done! |
