Goodguys - DelMar

Man, is God lookin' out for me or what? Sold the Studebaker and figured I either had to get the 47 roadworthy (a major feat) or be a spectator in April. Got my Goodguys gazette in the mail last night, they've raised it to 1972! Now I have to choose between the 66 Chevelle or the 71 Longhorn! Life is GOOD!

47 Chevys are cool. Here's my old 47 Aerosedan, sold it a couple years ago. I really miss it. (yes, I know it has a 46 grill)

I happen to like the 46 grille better, but I've got a trade going for a good 47 grill. Take what we can get, right?

That's about it. The 46 grill bolts into the same holes as the 47 grill, even though they look totally different. If you ever need any parts, Chevys of the 40's in Washington has good parts, new and used. If the number is still the same, it's 1-800-999-chev.......Have them send you a free catalog.

Del Mar is great fun, This will be my third time to make the trip over. No trailers, last year 11 of us drove over, all pre 48 stuff.

I just got the Chevys of the 40s catalog, and the Chassis Eng catalog. Glen, you are right........I've been to every Del Mar. I'll have something to take, may not be done, but it'll definitely be a driver........The trailer is to bring projects home, period. Wanna hook up for the run down I-8?

Is that year requirment just for your show down there or all shows? Here for the Heartland Nationals the requirement is 64 or something it would be great if they would raise the year, though they may have to many cars they had almost 4000 last year.
Edit: After looking at the good-guys site a little longer the heartland nationals is for 72 and older. Sweet hope so see some boadmembers trucks there.

JayDub, it depends on the event. I think alot has to do with space constraints. You may want to check on your individual event. My new Gazette hasnt got here yet for me to check.

Randy, I believe DelMar means "by the sea"

Randy, it's a race track ( Horse's) ( by the sea) outside of San Diego , the Goodguys hold a show there every year one of the best in SoCal.
