Stepper tailgate chain pics?

Does anyone have a few good pics of how the tailgate chain mounts to the bed?
Thanks,
Dave

I'll take a couple of shots for you in the morning.

PM me, & remind me, if I don't get them early enough. Because I tend forget to do a lot of stuff.
When you get older, the memory is the 2nd thing to go.

I actually remembered, overnight, to do something.

If you need any more; different angel, etc., just holler.

Make sure you put something on them to keep them from messing your paint up. It won't take long to mess things up if you dont. I use 3/4 " heater hose.

Re: Stepper tailgate chain pics?

And it keeps the chains from dripping rain water on the bumper & leaving rust stains.
Mine was like that when I bought it. It had long ago reached the "why bother?" stage. Old gov't truck, so it had been well used & abused.

I like the look of stainless steel chains in clear plastic tubing.
Maybe someday.

Check the chains before installing as there is a left and right.

Re: Stepper tailgate chain pics?

i used some old seat belt buckles so my paint wouldn't be scratched. just welded the male part to the tailgait, latched it, pushed shut, and bolted the female part to the bed. no rattles or messed up this way and it is a little different
