I'm headed to the junk yard for a driveshaft for a 1968 LB. Are the 2 piece drive shafts interchangeable for 67-72? Or can I only pull it out of a 68? Thanks.

Should make sure of your trans and rear end also. You need to match those up.

Yep, the back half should be the same length for long wheelbase trucks but the front half has to match the transmission you have.

I can't remember if the different rear ends take different U joints or not but that could be an issue.
If this pfd works it should give you the measurements for your transmission and you can see that it is within a few 16ths of a short shaft turbo 350 in length but you may have to swap front yokes to match the powerglide.

I think what they are referring to is that the connections need to match.

If you have the output shaft with yoke on the trans you are using, you need to make sure the driveline you find has the same U-joint size to match up with the output shaft. Same on the rear end - u-joint has to be the same size on the rear of the driveshaft and the rear-end. Overall length should also be confirmed.

If you don't have the output shaft with driveline yoke on the trans, you will have to make sure your donor will mate up with the trans output splines and diameter.
