medium olive guys
Anybody know of anyplace I can get a can of spray paint in either 1970 medium olive or something close. I need to do some small spot repairs and would like to blend it. The truck is the old original patina paint so it wont be hard to blend but I cant find any paint as of yet. I remember in the lates 80's I use to get most any paint in rattle cans of the shelf. My local auto parts store had chained suppliers so no go there. Any suggestions, I dont wanna have them mix it and then get out the gun and do all that for a couple small spots.

Find your local Napa if you have one. Or call some local paint suppliers and they should be able to mix you up a rattle can of Medium Olive auto paint. Napa in my area does Martin Senour. It is what I do little projects with and it costs around $18 or so depending on color to get it mixed. You can get it single stage or base/clear.

I had the same issue with a Med. Olive '72 (Cheyenne Super) that I had. I just took the truck down to the local Lordco (Napa equivalent) and the guy used his paint spectrum analayzer gun thingy to record my paint color.
I think we used an area on the unfaded dash or something and they mixed up a couple of spray cans for about $30 all in. Worth looking into locally at the larger automotive supply guys. Good Luck Coley

Got a Napa right here, Ill try them. The first store could have mixed it (a pint) enough for two cans but it was fairly expensive and I didnt need that much paint. Thanks

I had a local paint shop put some in a spray can for my interior. It was a great match but expensive at $20 a can.

I just ordered a can of spray paint. I have used them several times on some of my other vehicles and the color came out pretty close. You can order single stage where it doesn't require clear coat.
I have the same color on my vehicle (medium olive) 504. |

Thanks for the replies, I stopped by Napa and they hooked me up. You can even re use the spray bottle, just get aerosol re fills
