has anyone ever used c5 corvette wheels?

so ive been on the hunt for a new set of wheels since I bought my truck. last night I kind of had an epiphany and im wondering if anyone has ever used these z06 wheels on our trucks?

I obviously understand that I would need a 5x5 --> 5x4.75 adapter and I found some that are 1.5" thick which would help take care of some of the backspacing issues. im wondering if I should try and find a set of adapters that are 2". I haven't been able to find them as of yet but I have pulled up several old threads where people mention that they bought some so they have to be out there.

specs on these 2001-2004 Z06 wheels are:

Front:
Wheel size: 17 x 9.5
Offset: +54mm
Tire Size: 265/40/17
Back Spacing: 7.38” (187.35mm)

Rear:
Wheel size: 18 x 10.5
Offset: +58mm
Tire Size: 295/35/18
Back Spacing: 8.03” (204.05mm)

so if I were to find a 2" set of adapters that would make the front 17x9.5 with a 5.38" backspace and the rear an 18x10.5 with a 6.03" backspace...I would also be using 255/50-17 tires up front and 275/55-18 tires in the rear

logistically would this even be close to working? or would I still be about 0.5" shy of being able to pull this off?

here are a few pics of the truck in question.

my current setup is

front:
18x8.5
4.5" backspace
255/45/18

rear:
18x9.5
5.5" backspace
295/55/18

Lots of measurements to take into consideration. I use to own a C5 and wondered the same thing. I recommend you pull your wheels, put er up on jack stands and make all the messurements. Since your going to change the backspacing by adding the 2" adapters will you then have clearance between the rear wheel and the frame/bed? Outer fender clearance also need to be taken into consideration. Same type of questions applies to the front. But I'm sure all of this has crossed your mind...

I too have wondered about running these Vette wheels or even some of the newer Camaro wheels.
