FS U-bolts for Dana44 - new

SOLD-----

Well, due to a miscommunication with the machine shop I now am the proud owner of a new custom bent set of U-bolts for a Dana44 front axle. They fit 2.75" tube Dana's. One is larger to fit over the diff. Includes washers and nuts, 5/8" stock. $45 shipped to your door... OBO

FYI, corp10's have 3" tubes (which is what I told the guy when he made them)

Re: FS U-bolts for Dana44 - new

some dana 44s are 3 inch also---found that out the hard way several years ago. i picked up a 44 out of a mid 70s 3/4 ton---just the housing with gears--and proceeded to rebuild it, new bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. put it under my 72 3/4 ton and THATS when i found out my u-bolts didn't fit and i'd also need new top plates. i called the dealer and at that time i could still buy new top plates---almost 200 bucks for plates
another thing to remember, you can get almost any size/shape u-bolt from your local napa dealer. it's much cheaper than having them custom made---i found this out the hard way too.
DAMN, i'm a dumb a$$

Re: FS U-bolts for Dana44 - new

pics added, My NAPA dealer doesn't stock u-bolts so I had to go to our local machine shop that custom makes them....

These are for 2.75" not 3" tubes. I am going to try to reuse my plates since it only needs bent 1/8" on each side to fit.

These are more than long enough for three leafs and probably four.... The second from the left opened up slightly but with a little effort it will fit in the plate...

Thumbs up Re: FS U-bolts for Dana44 - new

my napa doesn't carry them in stock but can have them overnight, you just need a counterperson willing to take the time to look them up for you. the ones i had built several years ago cost me almost 100 bucks for four u-bolts.
ttt for you.

Re: FS U-bolts for Dana44 - new

These were bent from U-bolt stock so the threads were already done prior to bending... My shop runs about 40-50 for a set of four....
