Auto & manual Gauge Harness ?
What is the differance between an Auto & Manual dash harness w/gauges? I've change to auto and really see no differance between the two, other than the column safety switch. Will there be a problem with using my old harness?

My truck was orignally a 250 I6/3 spd, and is now a SBC/auto. Other than being able to start the truck in any gear, I haven't noticed any significant difference in the wiring harnesses. My truck also has gauges.

I didn't change my harness when I went Auto! I changed the plug for the back up lights. Which also go through the neutral safety switch. But don't remember how I ran the wires for the rest of the connection. But it works, only starts in Park and Neutral and the back up lights do work! Don't remember it being real hard.

I went the opposite way and the only issue I had were the back-up lights and neutral safety switch. I put an auto cab on a manual chassis, I also used the manual engine wiring harness. To add to it at the same time I went from GMC front to Chevy.
