Hydro dip questions

Was thinkin about it earlier in class, hows it work? Is it applied to raw steel/plastic or is there a primer involved? Was thinkin about the headlight buckets, grill trim, glovebox door, gauge bezel tailight molding etc. Don't know whether to post this here in 67-72 or paint n body. Mods feel free to move if you think it belongs there

Re: Hydro dip questions

I have a relative that does this at his custom shop. It really is impressive what he can do.

The DIY kits are limited to the size of the object based on the amount of product that comes with the kit, and the size of the film.

I know his tank is like 10 feet by 4 feet and about 3 feet deep.

It is relatively inexpensive, so depending on what you are trying to coat, I would look for a local merchant and get a quote first.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out if you DIY.

Re: Hydro dip questions

I'll prolly outsource it to a local shop. It'd be one thing if it's paint, hydro is a whole other ball game lol

Re: Hydro dip questions

Google and Youtube it. For smaller items like you are talking about this is a super easy process to do.
