Painted Spid suggestions
I recently aquired a ‘69 K10 and I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can get the paint off the spid? I’m hoping this isn’t a lost cause.

Re: Painted Spid suggestions
I would try something along this line of cleaner. Link below
I would test on a corner first with what ever you try. Good luck Link:https://www.acehardware.com/departme...UEUA&gclsrc=ds .

Re: Painted Spid suggestions
What I did: Take the door off and freeze it. I did mine in -5 degree weather in the winter. Used duct tape and peeled the paint right off. Clean. Nothing else I tried worked worth a darn. Might be worth a try.......

Very very interesting. Wonder how much trouble I’ll get in with Mrs.Taskforce if I put it in the freezer??? I’m going to try it.

Re: Painted Spid suggestions
She won't mind at all. Now, if you cure some fresh enamel-painted parts in the oven, you might get a reaction.

Re: Painted Spid suggestions
I don't think you will have much luck since 69 will be a paper spid. Good luck.

Re: Painted Spid suggestions
Just wrap it in that fancy freezer paper and write CHOPS on the outside and she may never know. And what she doesn't know....
