Exhaust out the side?

Does anyone have any pictures of a 67-72 with the exhaust exiting out the side of the truck in front of the rear tires?

Right now my exhaust exits out the back, but the pipes go under the axle housing -- I don't really like that. The truck has lowering blocks and there's not much room with the F*ord 9".

What does everyone have for a cross over? Any h H-pipes or X-pipes? Where do you have them? Right now my exhaust runs right along the frame rails, I'm not sure where the best place would be to run a cross over?

Thanks

cross over.....they say make a mark on the exhaust pipe with a crayon....where it stops melting...or burning off is where you want the crossover at

before the rear wheels is fine...all a matter of choice

I've always wanted to use the x-pipe, with a NASCAR type side exit before the back wheels. I think the long flat exhaust exit from the side looks really good.

I put mine out the side! Mine used to have it going out the back, but the muffler was rusted all to hell.

I'll try and dig out some pictures!

Rage,
Thanks for the tip!!

Road Dog,
Get that camera out

Ckenwright,
That's exactly how I was thinking of doing mine. Were you thinking of exiting it on one side or both sides?

Joe,
Thanks for looking for the pictures Right now my exhaust (by the way I did not do this ) is leaning up against the trailing arms and very close to the drive shaft.

Thanks for all the feedback!!

when i get some money (will i ever?) i'd like to run mine out the side, with some DF 40 series flows, so i can hear my exhaust bounce off things next to me (cars, trees, etc)
