OEM exhaust crossover from ramhorns..

OK, I admit I am a little new to this, I have always bought parts and installed them. But now I am faced with he problem of replacing that original crossover pipe that mounts to the ramhorn manifolds and then out to the exhaust. Can I just piece together a dual exhaust kit from parts from the parts store? Or are there some OEM pieces like flanges that I might need?

Looking for ideas here, I can deal with the pipes that go out back, I am just looking for something to connect the manifolds to the exhaust. THanks!

from places like jcwhitney and lmc truck for about $250 you can get a complete dual exhaust system that has every part you need to do the job

I just bought a Hooker Headers manifold back kit with 2.25 inch pipes from sumitt for $191. The kit didn"t come with mufflers though. But it came with all the hardware. The kits part number is 16621hkr. hope this helps. Mark

Did you have a problem with the passenger side head pipe fitment, I sure as hell did. All in all a good kit though

Are you wanting to build your own system? If you want the old style take what you have to a muffler shop and have them make you a new one.
Or just go to the muffler shop and say I need this to hook up my system to and llet them make you two down tubes. All they are is the pipe with the flanges on them.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: OEM exhaust crossover from ramhorns..

Headpipe on pass. side went well, the the intermediate tube had to be adjusted some but nothing too crazy. Everything was up tight and out of sight. Mufflers hit in the wrong spot imo but nothing drastic.

Re: OEM exhaust crossover from ramhorns..

I got a pypes brand kit that is 2-1/2" stainless with an X-pipe and comes with mufflers. If I remember right, it was set up for stock exhaust.

I did significant modifications to it for my LS1 headers and low stance to get it to fit...but it's a nice kit. A bit more money than others, but its stainless and has the X-pipe which add $$

Re: OEM exhaust crossover from ramhorns..

The LMC exhaust kits are 2 1/4 pipes and says it comes with "bolt on connectors that adapt to your stock manifolds with no welding necessary". Anyone know what these bolt on connectors are? I know the rams horn manifolds are available in different outlet sizes as in 2" and 2 1/2" Vette horns. I am interested in this kit but need to be sure I have the right manifolds to fit these pipes.
