Headlight/brakelight/turnsignal problems

I have a problem where when my lignts are off, my brake lights work. Turn on my headlights, no brake lights. Regardless of on or off headlights, when i turn on my turn signals, the fronts work fine, the rears blink at the same time and much slower than usual. Has anyone ever had a problem like this before? What should i check? 1987 CHevy full size pickup. THanks Ray

Welcome to the board. I would start by checking my grounds, then pull a wiring schematic and start trying to identify somewhere that culd cause a fault like that, my guess is a bad ground tho, especially with the slow blinking lights etc.
