Well I tried my first modification today. I never liked the ebrake handle on my 67 Panel, so I decided to modify the firewall to accept the foot brake. I think that it turned out pretty well considering that I have not tried anything like this befor. I just got tired of waiting around on the bodyman!! What does everyone think? We also updated the 67 Panel Project page to reflect the progress...

You mean how I altered the frame to accept the later model power steering gear? All I did was to heat the frame and take my 3 pound fist mall and indent it to fit. I also used a large steel rod for when I needed to be more accurate... LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I saw on the 67 Panel Project page that you used a quick ratio power steering box. Where did this came from or did you bought it new?

I haven't purchased the steering gear for it yet. I still need to figure out what year I will need. I think that the 82 and newer ones are the quick ratio ones. Ones I find out and purchase one I will publish the year. Jose, I am not going to do anything with the rear of the frame for now, other than to change the control arms. I have a bunch of stuff that I had powder coated that I will be installing. I don't know what you mean about the extra manual bolt hole.. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

'67-'68 E-brake handles do suck...easy to smash your knuckles on them when rolling up or down the window.
