Finally bought myself a c10 about five weeks ago and drove her home. This brings back great memories of my first c10 i owned in high school and my first date with my now wife of 19 years. Couldnt wait to get started on the ground up build. A good friend and i got it tor down to rolling chassis on a friday night now the fun begins.

Re: 71 C10 6.0 LS ground up build

Had some time with the holiday weekend so I rebuilt a 4l60e with heavy duty sprag sunshell and 5 pinion planetary gears. Used a transgo shift kit and high energy clutches. Painted and clear coated trans and installed aluminum pan. Got brake lines ran and flared. Feels good to have a major componets finished!

Been awhile since I updated the build. Took lq4 engine apart and had valve job done. Installed a z06 corvette camshaft and valve springs. Assembled and painted motor. Ready for install now

What did you do for the motor mounts/perches on the frame? Frame is looking good!

Re: 71 C10 6.0 LS ground up build

I used perches and mounts from ece there gen 3 mounts come complete with all hardware etc. Mounts have about an inch of movement forward or rearward. Using there trans crossmember as well. Hope that helps.
