hah highboy-it definately could be lower but not with those cranks, i can barley corner or lean without the pedals hitting the ground
kroondawg-mileage is a lot better than the 67 or 71 but still not great! hah
yellow72-yeah i built it, nothing specail but fun to cruise on

a regular bike like these banana seat ones? this is about regular height here, but if you go lower you need to get the right forks and short crank arms

Cool, very similar to my mustang bike back in about 71'. It was state of the art cool very similar to that except it was metal flake gold. It got ripped off and when my Dad recovered it , it had been painted orange. I had a wide slick tire for the rear and metallic seat, major sissy bar...it was deefuknlux.
Actually I think that was the nicest ride I ever had!

reminds me i made a harley rocking horse/cycle for great grandkids this last xmas. probably have to chop a bike for them this or next yr. jumpmaster is about the first good wipeout i did on a stingray we used to call em. flew great but landing was hell on the f**kin nuts. got some grey hair but still feel it. hurt so much i couldn't talk

Looks like a nice copy of a Orange Krate bike. Those are cool little bikes for kicking around on. Since I'm a "full figured" kinda guy, I need something with a bit more cushion, and suspension. Here's my cruiser....

What is the purpose of lowering a BICYCLE? To look cool? Or to look like you are riding a lowered bicycle. I would like to see someone catch about 8-10 feet of air off a half pipe on one of those lowered bikes. I bet it would be really nasty.

Oh and if you want to keep the cranks from hitting the ground, find one those bicycles that are made for 3-4 year olds that have 8-12in wheels and grab the cranks. I hope your legs are in shape, because your going to be pedaling ALOT on your lowered bicycle. That would look cool.

thanks for the compliments guys, 67eetsidedream i was thinking that but im happy with how it is now, it isnt a true lowrider like the one posted with all the gold, but its the same sorta concept i think ( ape hangers, banana seat etc ). they are real fun bikes to putt around on, cant wait for the car shows next summer

67cst...nice one. I bought a replica of a 60's Schwinn frame awhile back, and the daughter and I are planning to go the whole low-ri-dah route (where my roots are.) Nothing like the monstrosity in the above post, though.

Thats a nice bike, original, I like!
I also have a lowrider bike, but I am one of those people that some what take it seriously, well used to, spent around 4 or 5 G's on it. I have had my bike since I was about fifteen, I am now 22. Since then, I have taken it to many shows around central Texas and won many trophies, around 30 or so. The reason I kept it as a hobby is to keep me out of trouble, and it did, also got me closer to my family. Entered it in a car show last weekend and won First place w/also best mural and best display, so that was also cool too. I took it in my 71 chevy longbed, b/c have a turntable for it, and everyone who saw it said I should of put it under the unfinished class. Could've won probably also. Once you take it to show, you will wan't to attend more...Keep up the sweet job...

I'll see if I can get some. Forgot to tell you, you also meet a lot of people at those car shows. Most of them are good people, not thug type as you always see. This past care brought back a lot of fun memories of past car show. Gives me more encouragement to add even more on to my bike, its hard not to, but I have it set on my mind to keep on working on my truck, slowly but surely, just like I did on my back. And if I work on my truck with the same passion as I did with my bike, I know it will turn out pretty good. I just takes time...But as they say, waiting builds character. Makes you appreciate even more the thing you are waiting for...
