Black or Tan... What do you think?
So as many of you know I am building an Army themed 67 Stepper... I decided to blow a little sand color paint on a wheel/dogdish and think I like it... I am thinking if I go with this sand color painting the interior steel the same color... So what do you think?? Black or Tan wheels?

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
The 20" steelies I had on it were from a 01 Ram... I can not run them with the step side so I went back to good old 15s...

For an Army themed truck I say go sand!It fit's the theme well and it's something no one else will have done.(at least until they see yours.

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
The tan looks cool but I voted black because I think it goes better with the older Vietnam style green (aka Olive Drab). The tan is more middle east style camo. Just my $0.02

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
I vote tan, but what do you think about mixing them? A tan wheel with black hubcap, or black wheel with tan cap? Just thinking out loud.

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
however...... since it's an Army themed truck, go with camo wheels!!
but if I had to chose, I'd rock the tan!

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
I bought a bunch of old canvas army tents for the material... I am going to try and use them for the seats, door panels and dash pad and maybe even in place of the carpet...

Re: Black or Tan... What do you think?
If I remember correctly, since I was in the Marines in the '70s, the wheel was the same color as the body. The Corps had '67 and '68 C/10 stepsides in both Olive Green and Battleship Gray. I had to qualify by taking a driving test in one of them to get my license for the CUCV. [Even though I already had my own orange stepside.] I remember the instructor Corporal yelling at me for "hotrodding" HIS truck, when I doubleclutched around a corner.

Quote:
I like them both,, but its your truck,, I guess the only issue is your mixing different periods of color.. olive drap is pre-desert storm,,, and tan is post,, mixing them may come off great, just dont know.. I love the idea of the canvas seat covers...
