Re: top paint

I'm doing the same thing. The PO smoothed my double wall top out and painted it black. Currently doing repairs on my hatch. I'm going back to textured white too. Gonna stop by the local LineX place on Monday to get a quote for having my top sprayed in white with their UV bed liner. I like the texture of LineX and think it will also add some level of crack protection as well. Curious as to what others have done in the past as well.

Re: top paint

I sprayed mine myself. The product is called Raptor Liner. You can get it black or clear and have it tinted any color. I tinted mine grey to match my interior.

Re: top paint

Looks good! Can we get a close up look on the texture? What prep work was involved?

That looks beautiful! I'm having second thoughts about my LineX idea. Probably save a bunch doing it myself with Raptor. Did you chronicle the Raptor steps on a thread here? Any tips or tricks?

On another note, what did you have done to ll the hatch hardware and struts? Beadblast and powder coated? They also look great.

Re: top paint

Pressure washing was the only prep, and a small amount of bondo where I had a crack. Google raptor liner and you can see their product and pics. My Jimmy is in my shop and I won't get to it for a few days. Just added this hoist to the rafters this week to lift it on/off

Re: top paint

Nice job. Doing my inside when it warms up. Prep is simple. Just follow manufacturer instructions. Get a Gallonew of xylene for clean up and cleaning spray gun.
