Yeah the shipping would kill you. Plus, it's right-hand drive!!! That would look weird on a cruise night. Putting that Nissan engine in is sacrilege in my opinion.

Re: Ebay find....Thailand

I was thinking it was probably ex-military leftover from the war 'till I saw the right side drive. I guess them Thai '68's came with the later grill and front clip.
The Nissan engine is one thing, but it's a diesel, so that's not quite so bad.

Re: Ebay find....Thailand

That Nissan diesel is one good engine. Messed with them when I lived in Japan. It is definitely an interesting mix. I think it would be cool to have the right-hand drive and the 6 banger diesel. The yellow has got to go though.

Re: Ebay find....Thailand

Next time I go back,I'll check it out. Chang Mai is really beautiful. You see all kinds of American vehicles from the sixties and seventies over there. My brother-in-law has a GMC Canyon with an Isuzu diesel in it and right hand drive. Vietnam also has some great 60's and early seventies trucks running around.

Thailand stepside on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...5fTrucks#v4-35
Has it listed as a 68, but it looks like a 69/70 to me. I wonder if the tail lights are original or added, they look like military units... a couple things make me wonder if it was a normal left hand drive truck then converted... notice, it has the left hand drive wipers... and the underhood shot with the steering column looks kinda funny too...
still a neat thing to see.

Very interesting to see these trucks abroad, and how different cultures change them up.

sinister.... thanks...had no idea
Carl, the funny part was the tokyo drift mustang, they had to remove the twin turbo and go to a single turbo due to lack of space, and they couldn't get it to drift at all. All the non CG shots of the mustang drifting was done with a few 351 cars

Re: Thailand stepside on e-bay

Almost fell on my A$$ laughing at the "English" description! I knew that these trucks had a lot of configurations but I never thought of right hand drive. Anyone want to pay shipping from Thailand to the U.S.?

It would make a good mail truck with the right hand drive.

Not known why sell truck so rare to be Thailand.I keep such rare truck if it mine.If live Thailand I want drive that truck, feel like home.Diesel motor make more practical to drive for Thailand.

I like it.I have a hunch shipping may just kill that deal.An Aussie or Kiwi member should hop on that one.
