Who's got pics of their orange 67-72 truck?

I am about to buy another project truck (69 GMC stepper) and I'm trying to decide on a shade of orange..

Tennessee Orange with either a white cab top or Smokey Gray metallic cab top with TorqThrust anthracite wheels is in contention... but show me your colors..

Thanks!

Glen

My wife likes this Tangerine Orange Pearl the best. It looks really good, but I want to see other shades...

Was Hugger Orange a factory option, or is it just a really popular (and cool) shade?

It was a factory color from 1970 to whenever. Factory Code 524, I believe.
FYI, mine's a 69, originally the paint scheme was White/Olive Green.

Re: Who's got pics of their orange 67-72 truck?

My great-grandfather had a '67 long bed C10 that was that color with a white top. It was the first truck of this vintage that I remember.. My cousin still has it..

Not my truck (member from this board) but I'm planning on painting mines the same color.
If anybody could help out with the color code feel free to do so.

Re: Who's got pics of their orange 67-72 truck?

Here's mine. I don't think it is Hugger Orange (looks Red to me. SPID sez white/red but it was repainted by a PO) but Miz Diane swears it is ORANGE. I do have some issues with color recognition (not color blind but close) It is "her" truck, so I don't argue (much).

At least she lets me drive it!

Here's my 1970 C20 in red-orange. It looks orange until you compare it to a bright orange truck, then it's more red.

This is my '68 Stepside. Factory 516 Orange. Previously called "Omaha Orange," later called "Tangier" and even "Sunbolt". It's got less red then Hugger Orange.

You're not trippin. You are seeing a 1970 C20 SWB in original paint. However, I did shorten it and kept the original paint.
