Good Guys - Pleasanton, California

After the perfect storm of suckiness (not being able to take my truck to any shows for one reason or another for the past 3 years!!!), I am finally taking my baby to the Good Guys show in Pleasanton this weekend. I almost decided not to go because of the driver's door handle, but there's gonna be a huge swap meet so I'm looking to score one there.

Anyone going?

Cool Re: Good Guys - Pleasanton, California

I went after all, $8.00 to park,$17.00 to enter,($50.00 if you want participate) $3.00 for a small bottle of h2o, and the food and beer is another story $$$$$$, I think you get the picture. But I had a good time looking at the car and trucks, And browsing the ever so shrinking swap meet.

You know, they (good guys) always advertise a "huge swap meet" but, it's only a drop in the bucket compare to alot of other swap meets. Next time I'll meet you at Jack's pad for a jumbo jack and a beer.

I just went to a car show today, june 5th.
5 dollars a carload, 1.50 a burger,75 cents chips,1 dollar for a water. I spent less than 20 bucks with 2 kids and had a blast.
some shows are ridiculously priced and i really like goodguys, but man o man.

Well, I'm thinking of going this saturday at Del Mar. Last year I went in a hurry because I had to work that evening but this time I'm off. I hope doesn't rain.

Re: Good Guys - Pleasanton, California

The Spring Good Guys show in Pleasanton is hit and miss, depends on the weather. All we'd heard about last week was the big rain storm coming on Saturday- it never materialized. But I think that is what kept people away from the show, I took my son Saturday morning and there were maybe 100 cars at 11am.

The Summer Get Together is always a huge draw...but it's also in really nice weather!

Ditto! This is my favorite car show venue (if you know of better close to Sacramento, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!). I didn't go because of the weather and like mentioned it's an expensive day for a less than stellar turn out. I'm hoping my blazer will make it inside at the summer get together though!
